Description
This Korean ground beef bowl is a quick and flavorful meal, perfect for busy weekdays. With simple ingredients and easy preparation, it’s a delightful option for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 cup mixed vegetables
Instructions
- Start by cooking your rice according to package instructions. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes. If you’re using leftover rice, you can skip this step!
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add your ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Once the beef is browned, drain any excess fat from the skillet. Then, add minced garlic and ground ginger. Stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil. Pour this mixture over the beef, stirring well to combine. Let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Add in your sliced vegetables and green onions. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the veggies are tender but still crisp.
- Serve the beef mixture over the cooked rice in bowls, garnished with extra green onions if desired. Enjoy!
