Description
This refreshing homemade peach lemonade is a delightful blend of sweet peaches and tangy lemons, perfect for quenching your thirst on hot summer days. It’s easy to make and customizable to suit your taste.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large ripe peaches, pitted and chopped
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice for serving
- Mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash the peaches thoroughly, cut them in half, remove the pits, and chop them into smaller pieces.
- In a blender, add the chopped peaches along with 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.
- Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the peach puree into a large pitcher, pressing down to extract all the juice. Discard the solids.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice until you have 1 cup.
- To the pitcher with the peach juice, add the freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, and the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Taste your lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or water if necessary.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves if desired.
Notes
Choose ripe peaches for the best flavor. You can prepare the peach puree a day in advance and store it in the fridge until you’re ready to mix everything together.
